History
Another Option, Inc. was founded in December of 1997 by Marcus Cloke & Melissa King with the intent of providing individuals a community based alternative support environment to better suit their needs. Although Melissa has moved on to support individuals in another setting in Hawaii, the foundation set in those early days remains the guiding light of Another Option Inc.
The company started with a single adult family home and has steadily grown every year since. To date, Another Option serves over 20+ supportive living environments including 3 Independent living homes and 19 supportive living homes. Our supportive living environments are staffed twenty-four hours per day by trained direct support professionals to provide the highest quality supports possible.
As the company has expanded, the need for staff training and education has also grown. For this reason, Another Option has taken the initiative to become certified to provide all necessary state mandated trainings and additional agency specific trainings for its employees. We provide continuing education annually for all of our employees. Training that helps create a safe, healthy and supportive environment for everyone involved to reach their highest level of success.
Our Impact
Another Option provides opportunity for those who might otherwise not be afforded the chance to succeed. Not only are we positively influencing the lives of those we serve, but those who serve. With 23+ years in business we create jobs for people to grow, succeed and invest back into their community. Marcus Cloke
After 9 years of working in the supported living field in the schools and at another agency, Marcus decided that he could best support individuals by opening an adult family home and building an agency of leaders. With the assistance of Melissa King, Another Option was formed. With the continual need for additional placements for individuals in need, the agency has steadily grown. These days Marcus’ primary role is as our Agency Administrator, guiding the direction of the agency. He has recently taken a secondary role as a Trainer for Therapeutic Options.
Office Coordinator
Sherri Kincaid
Sherri joined our team in 2009 as a Data Entry Specialist. She came to us from a licensed setting where she had previously had plenty of experience managing data. She worked her way up the ranks learning additional skills in the finance department and ultimately becoming our Office Coordinator. As Office Coordinator Sherry directs our HR department while also oversighting our client finance department and managing many other office related tasks.
