Residential Service Guidelines
The guiding values that drive us in the support and advocacy for our clients.
Competence
Educating and instilling competence in those we support leads to more successful community integration and ultimately higher levels of independence. Supporting self reliance and teaching new skills can lead to increased self esteem and happiness.
relationships
We strive to support natural relationships for our clients. Maintaining relationships that they currently participate in and fostering new relationships in their community.
Health and safety
Health and safety are important factors to take into consideration when considering the well being of those we support. Providing education and protection from exploitation, abuse, and neglect.
Power and choice
Sitting in the drivers seat and taking the reigns of life, making informed decisions, these are often the primary motivators and benefits of being an adult. The people we serve are no different, we strive to support well informed decision making and choice in their lives.
integration
Society has come a long way in recent years in the acceptance of those we support. Education of both our clients and the community surrounding them along with client integration will continue to play a major role in breaking down barriers and building new relationships.
status
Taking pride in our lifestyle and who we are as a person and therefore our sense of status is often driven by the previous factors, our competence, health and safety, integration in community, our relationships and our ability to direct our lives via power and choice.
